National Register Nominations

National Register designation is an important planning tool which may qualify a development project for critical funding or tax incentives. The National Register of Historic Places is a federal designation achieved through a formal nomination process that addresses the established National Register criteria for physical integrity and historical significance. The nomination is subject to a two-stage review by the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and the National Park Service.
